Yoon Kye Sang was recruited as a member of legendary Korean pop group god (acronym for Groove Over Dose) in 1997. He auditioned on a whim at his father's suggestion. The group debuted 13 Janauary 1999 and released their 1st album, god Chapter 1, on 26 January 1999. As a 5-member group till 2004, god released a total of 5 albums - god Chapter 2, 25 Nov 1999; Chapter 3 Lies, 3 Nov 2000; Chapter 4 Road, 16 Nov 2001; and Chapter 5 Letter, 26 Dec 2002. god became so huge in Korea that they finally had a concert held at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in 2001. This was the main stadium used for the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The group, also considered by some to be Korea's national boy band, were also chosen to participate in the official album for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan, True East Side. From 2002 to 2003, over a span of 9 months, god embarked on their 100 Days Human Concert, a remarkable series of concerts dedicated to fans. Kye Sang left the group end 2004 when he entered to serve in Korea's compulsory 2-year military service. Having already embarked on an acting career in 2003/2004 and found his "calling", he decided to leave his singing career to become an actor. After completing military service end 2006, he continued to re-brand himself as an actor and a model. In his years as god member, Kye Sang's natural innocent charm, infectious smile and growing good looks, won him popularity and a fan base, along with the other group members. Kye Sang is presently working on his latest movie Executioners slated for a end 2009 release.
