Ola Normelli was born in the rural village of Ödsmål, Sweden, where he also grew up. His early interest in language made him start writing from a very early age, and never stopped. Normelli went to acting school during his high school years in Gothenburg. After graduation and a couple of years of working in a record store, he got bored of Gothenburg and went to Seattle, WA where he studied English, sang with The Total Experience Gospel Choir and fell in love with the city itself. During 2002 through 2007, Normelli went back and forth between Seattle WA, Fresno CA, Brighton UK and his native Gothenburg. Besides a four-months acting course in Brighton (where he studied literature/linguistics), the main passion was writing. Once back on Swedish soil, Normelli wrote poems, pop songs and started working on a novel. In 2014, after a long and stressful separation, he finally went back to acting in the form of improvise under the guidance of acting coach John Pekkari at Improverket. The passion came back quickly and strongly. His first experience on set was as an extra in the biopic "Borg vs McEnroe" (starring Shia LaBeouf etc.) where he got to know the casting director Fredrik Fornänger. The experience of being part of a feature film became the starting point of an exponentially growing career. Over the period of less than two years, Normelli went on to be a part of handful movies, a dozen short films, three commercials, two TV-series and a seven-months theater play. In the summer of 2018, Normelli will be publishing a collection of Swedish texts on the theme of relationships as well as doing a couple of big name movies. In July, he will participate in workshops in a renowned acting studio in Los Angeles. More to follow... - IMDb Mini Biography By: Ola Normelli
