Keith J. Obit was born to a middle-class working family in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The young Obit family picked up stakes and moved to sunny Phoenix, Az. in 1983. Having an early interest in acting, he broke the ice by attending cattle calls for such films as Free Willy and appearing every Saturday morning on his local Fox channel reporting various news stories. Throughout his school years he used his creative energy in numerous bands, writing and playing music since the age of 13. In his mid 20's he established his own recording studio, where he produced his personal work as well as numerous projects for others. Some early audio recordings can be found under the band Ghostlife, and he's the lead member of a revolving member project called Astrobit, set to take shape in 2018. His passion for music has never waned, however has recently taken a backseat to his acting ambitions. At the beginning of 2016, Keith had no thought of even being an actor. It wasn't until after a fellow co-worker who happened to be an actor brought him on the set of a feature film where he fell in love with the whole film world. By that March he was already gaining experience running slate, boom, lights, and any other crew work he could help out with, which eventually led to over a half dozen credits in extra work. After filling many background roles, he was given the opportunity to move on into stunt work, speaking roles, and finally the lead role in the short film Erebus, which is still having a successful festival run. In 2017 he continued with several small roles in different shorts and features and even had his hand in the true-crime genre on network television. He can be seen playing Matthew Bonner on the episode "Officer Down" on A&E's Cold Case Files and the lead character Joey McStay on the episode "Shallow Grave" for People Magazine investigates on Investigation Discovery. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Mandel Moreno
