Originally from Elmhurst, Il., Campbell started his career in film school at Columbia College, Chicago and went on to the legendary improv-comedy theater, The Second City. It was at The Second City that he earned his comedy chops, as he worked alongside such stand-outs as Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Bob Odenkirk and Chris Farley. This led to Campbell's cinematic debut in Home Alone. Fox Television's Herman's Head followed and Campbell's move to Los Angeles was assured. He has appeared in such classic films as Groundhog Day, Armageddon and more than 100 episodes of television. In 1996 Campbell starred in Local Heroes, a Fox Network sit-com that was developed for him by Witt-Thomas Productions.
