Christian Gavin Mann was born in Bossier City, Louisiana, to Melissa McCormick (Ouellette), and Brandon Mann, a commercial truck operator. His paternal side is African-American, and his maternal side is Caucasian, with French, Canadian-French, and a few other ethnic backgrounds. At an early age, he left Louisiana and attended Pre-K, Kindergarten, and part of first grade in St. Albans, Vermont. When his mother remarried, he moved to East Bernard, Texas. He lived with his mother, stepfather named Chris, and his sister: Raegan. Due to his Stepfather's job, he moved across the State of Texas several times: Friendswood, Houston, Allen, and Midlothian. When Christian was attending Walnut Grove Middle School, he was casted as a feature chorus member in his school's production of "Beauty and the Beast" in the 7th grade. He was a member of Walnut Grove's Men's Tenor-Bass Varsity Choir, which was highly known across the State of Texas. His Show Choir experience and participation in his school's play inspired him to pursue acting. At the end of his eighth grade year, his family moved to Benton, Louisiana due to his stepfather's job. He attended Benton High School, where he got very involved, including with his school's Drama Club. During his four years of high school, Christian was apart of three play productions all directed by January Dodson and also worked with Jessica Martin and Alicia Gehrls (Assistant Directors). His Sophomore Year, he auditioned for the role of Sonny in the musical "Grease", but instead was casted as the role of Coach Calhoun. This was the role he was most recognized for throughout his high school career. His Junior Year, he auditioned for the role of Maurice in the musical "Beauty and the Beast", but was instead casted as the role of Monsieur D'Arque. Due to his character's minimal appearance in the musical, he was also able to play a Pub Member for the "Gaston" song dance number and a Spoon in the "Be Our Guest" dance number. His Senior Year, he auditioned for the role of Oz/Professor Marvel in the musical "The Wizard of Oz". Later on that evening, while working at Chick-Fil-A, his theatre teacher and one of the casting directors for the show came in to order. His theatre teacher told him that he would really like the role he was casted for. After work that evening, he checked the cast list, and he found out he had gotten the role of Oz/Professor Marvel. Also, during his four years of high school, he also was able to work with a local film studio (Fairfield Studios) and gain not only acting experience, but also crew experience (Cinematography, Sound Mixing, Production Assisting, etc.). When a local film studio needed teens dressed as clowns for an ANECA FCU Credit Union Swagger Boost advertisement video, his uncle and parents brought him and his cousin to be apart of the production. During the shoot, he became close with the producers Clint McCommon (Better Angels) and John Chambers (Infamous). He continued being apart of further productions, and even got to do a stunt in a commercial as a zombie with Stunt Coordinator and Actor Luke Sexton (Cut to the Chase). When he saw that Fairfield Studios needed extras, he called Clint and John, and they asked him if he wouldn't mind working crew on the set of "Carpe Diem", a Louisiana Film Prize short. This started his crew experience, where he learned how to work sound, work a camera, set up lights, and all the other important behind-the-scene processes. Christian is attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is majoring in Natural Resource and Ecology Management with Wildlife Habitat Conservation and Management, and he is minoring in theatre. His goal is to stay very involved in the film industry while also attending veterinary school to become an exotic animal veterinarian. He would like to work in a zoo or aquarium and work on set as a animal actor veterinarian. During his first semester at LSU, he took an Acting class with instructor Kyra Smith. In this class, he learned voice and body warm-up exercises, improvisation skills, creating given circumstances, object and people observations, beats, and how to make the script your own. He also took an Introduction to Theatre class with instructor Bobbi Masters and learned about the history of acting as well as having to attend LSU play productions. During the latter half of the semester, Christian received a call from Caballero Casting asking him to play a non-costumed gamer on the set of NCIS: New Orleans (Season 4: Episode 12: "Identity Crisis"). He was later called back to appear on another episode of NCIS: NOLA. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
