British Yemeni actor Sami Karim was born in Aden, Yemen to Nigma and Mohamed Ismail Abdul Karim Al-Gailani. He is the elder brother to Safinaz and Ramsey Karim. Sami has been married twice and is the proud father of three children; Noor, Tamara and Adam. A Mathmatics graduate from University of East Anglia, Sami did not attend conventional drama school but instead learned his craft on set from working with more experienced actors. To this end, he got his first uncredited role in Born Romantic in 2000. Sami credits the British actress Eva Pope with first spotting his innate talent and giving him the confidence to train seriously as an actor. On Pope's advice, he studied with her and actor Bryan Oliver in the Meisner Technique at the Actors Gateway in London. In addition to many Casting and Acting Workshops. Sami is a very versatile actor, capable of performing in many languages. He is fluent in English, Arabic, Polish and Hindi. He feels indebted to his second wife, Anna Waloch, for helping him break into the Polish film industry where he has worked with the best Polish film production, cast and crews. He has starred opposite some of the biggest actors in Poland. His credits on Polish television include leading roles in the Sony AXN series Ultraviolet , HBO series Wataha and Feature Film Kobiety Mafii 2 Directed by Patryk Vega. He played real life Secret Agent Omar Bayoumi and was fortunate to work with Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Director Craig Zisk, Michael Slovis and Ali Selim. He also recently finished filming in Barbados romantic Spy thriller feature film Blackbird where he shared intense scenes with Hollywood heavyweight Eric Roberts, directed by Lord of the Dance legend Michael Flatley. Sami is also a Master Of Ceremonies Boxing Ring and Cage Fight Announcer. As well as being a gifted linguist, he is also an accomplished physical actor. He trains regularly in Mixed Martial Arts and is always in peak physical condition. He is a qualified Personal Trainer and Strength Conditioning Coach for Blackbeard MMA.
