The second and youngest son of an orthopedic surgeon and a speech pathologist, Brisbane-born-and-raised Patrick Flynn Moroney's interest in the arts, drama and film was fostered from a young age by his exposure to the Harry Potter books and films (through his mother) and Wilbert Awdry's Railway Series books. Deciding in his preteens (while attending Ipswich Grammar School) that such an arena would be the best suited for his skills and mindset, he has continued to expand his knowledge of film and television forms, and is particularly interested in anime (specifically the "Lupin III" franchise, and the works of Hayao Miyazaki, Hideaki Anno, Katsuhiro Ôtomo, Yoshiaki Kawajiri and others) and the Italian genre films of the 1960s and 70s (especially the Spaghetti Westerns of Sergio Leone, Sergio Corbucci and Sergio Sollima). In high school, he excelled in English, Drama and Modern History, and performed favorably in Legal Studies and Music. Patrick also received numerous honors for his extensive work in extra-curriculum activities, including school productions, choirs, participating in the Australasian Finals for the Tournament of Minds competition, trekking through the Langtang Valley of the Himalayas, and assisting Namgyal Middle School (Kathmandu) in the re-painting of the school's dining halls and dormitory halls. Patrick hopes to use his understanding of film and drama in the creation of unique projects that will appeal to audiences far and wide. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Patrick Moroney
