Javier Schialer is a bi-lingual Peruvian-American actor. He was born in Lima, Peru and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and in 2008 moved to Seattle, Washington. In his senior year of high school he became interested in modeling which opened doors to the commercial world that would lead to his first acting jobs. In 2010 he started modeling and booking commercials for Microsoft, Amazon, Nike, Adidas, Reebok, REI, Tommy Bahama and Target, but it was the short film "Color TV, No Vacancy" shot by director Dan Brown that kick-started his interest in acting. This film and working on national commercials for Ford & Chevy left him seeking for more artistically, and led him to take his first theater class in college. After finishing that class he knew he was going to pursue acting after graduation. After graduating from the University of Washington in 2015, he has been busy working in Pacific Northwest's Indy film market and learning from the top acting coaches in the area. Starting with a very technical Stanislavsky approach with coach/director/producer John Jacobsen, to then practicing a spiritual and audition focused technique with casting director/ coach/executive producer Nike Imoru, CSA. To most recently training with Uta Hagen based coach/casting director Heidi Walker (Twin Peaks, 10 Things I Hate About You, Northern Exposure). Along with with multiple workshops led by Jodi Rothfield (CSA), Eryn Goodman (CSA), LA Based actor/director Tim True, and actor/director/producer Tony Doupé. Javier is represented by All About You! Talent in the Pacific Northwest, and continues to book roles and work on his craft. You can find his latest released film with an award winning script, "B.U.M." on YouTube and at the 2020 Manhattan Film Festival, as well as his film "Side Effect" which won "Best Northwest Film" at the Oregon Scream Week! Horror Film Festival in 2018. Look out for his upcoming appearances in the feature films "Burn It All" & "The Deliverance of Amy Stronghold", as well as his lead role as 'Jordan' in the award winning feature film "Big Trouble in Seattle", which will appear this Fall at the International New York Film Festival.
