Phi Bulani is a Canadian actor and performer. Born in London Ontario. Phi took to performing at an early age, he often found himself to be the youngest one singing in the church choir, and usually the only one impersonating the choir master. He enjoyed competing in local talent contests, and much of his early performance experience continued to involve impersonations, singing on the street corner, and making his own sketch comedy which was inspired by the performers of SCTV, The Royal Canadian Airfarce, and Mad magazine. While still in high school he attended a weekend workshop offered by the Second City Troupe of Chicago, and this opportunity furthered his performance aspirations and harnessed his love for Improv, the craft of acting, and studying his art and trade. He continued to excel in his vocal studies with Internationally renowned Tenor Garnet Brooks, as well as Tenor Martin Chambers at the Faculty of Music, UWO. His career started to take shape aboard the Starship Enterprise in a staged theatrical version of Star Trek; appropriately called "A Celebration of Star Trek." The production was first performed in an underground garage of an independent Theatre Company called Theatre Faux. The production was lit with the use of car headlights and was performed to an at capacity crowd of over 200 patrons. It was a Happening. Eventually the Aux Faux troupe of actors was invited to take the Second City Stage on Monday Nights in London Ontario, where they continued to perform to sold-out crowds and maintained their loyal following for a number of years. Phi attributes his success and critical notice to fostering his talents while working with local playwrights like Herman Gooden, as well as the many seasoned Canadian Theatre Artists; Martha Henry, Rod Beattie, Douglas Campbell, R.H. Thomson, and popular Canadian playwright Norm Foster to name a few. He has performed at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa Canada, and entertained audiences from the East Coast, through-out South Western Ontario and across Canada in both Regional and Summer Theatres. He has performed his tribute to Elvis on International stages as well as at home. Whether on stage or screen, Phi is known for his versatility and inhabiting his roles in Theatre, Film and TV. - IMDb Mini Biography By: SAR
