Connor Muhl is an American composer, pianist and actor. He was born in Santa Monica, California, and grew up in Portland, Oregon. Connor began acting professionally at age 7 in local theater productions of Broadway plays and musicals. He joined his first acting and modeling agency at age 9 and began studying acting with revered coach, Katie O'Grady. At this time, he also started winning vocal competitions and soon attracted the attention of the vocal coach, Debra Byrd, (former head coach for "American Idol", and the vocal coach for "The Voice"). Connor worked with "Byrd" in Los Angeles from 2010 to 2013. During this time, Connor was also admitted into master-acting classes with prominent Los Angeles coaches Harry Mastrogeorge and Janet Alhanti (Meisner), who each praised his abilities and work-ethic. While in Los Angeles, Connor auditioned for and was accepted as a 9th-grade applicant into the prestigious LACHSA performing arts high school in Los Angeles, but deferred his admission for professional reasons. Connor's professional music career began at age 14. He was discovered by film director, Melanie Star Scot (Topp Scot Productions), when she put out a call in Los Angeles for composers to submit music samples for the film, "Quitter". After receiving many samples from mature, accomplished musicians, Muhl was the only one who captured the essence of the film and realized Scot's vision for the music. - "Another notable detail is the all original score for Quitter was written and performed by a fourteen year old guitar prodigy, Connor Muhl" (PRweb). The short film won six awards on the festival circuit. When Muhl was 15, he was hired again by Ms. Scot to compose an original song for the film "Sangria Lift". The song "I see you" was co-written and performed by Muhl and Tony Smiley and won the Award of Merit at the Accolade Global Film Competition. Connor comes from an entertaining and musical family; both grandmothers sang opera, his father and uncle are entertainment attorneys, and his grandfather was the studio head of production at Universal Pictures from 1953 to 1973. Connor's mother taught him how to play the piano, read and write music; Connor completed his first composition when he was 4 years old. Winner for Best Performance by a Teen Male Actor in a Digital TV Series or Film for his work as Flynn in the feature film, "Heartthrob", Muhl was honored to receive his award at the esteemed 2018 Young Artist Awards. He was nominated again the following year for Best Performance by a Male Teen Actor in a TV Series, for his role as Scott Pocket in "Everything Sucks" (Netflix original series). Connor has appeared in many films, television shows, web series, national commercials, and dramatic and musical professional stage productions. He is represented by Todd Neville at ProTalent (LA), Dennis Troutman at Option Model and Media (PNW) and managed by Jo An Kincaid at Kincaid Management (LA). When Connor is not working, he is often found at the piano with a pencil and composition paper. His non-performing interests range from helping others in need through community service, discussing the physics of time-travel to rock-climbing to promoting animal welfare. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
