Kirti Adarkar has been a prolific theatre actress and has recently made the jump to Cinema and TV. Some of her memorable theatre performances have been in Goodbye Doctor and Goshta Jamantarichi for which she received awards for Best Actress and Direction respectively. Recently she played the role of the grandmother of Osho Rajneesh in the highly acclaimed independent film "The Rebellious Flower". She received a lot of accolades for that role. She played roles in Neerja and Akira as well. She played a central role in the film 'Baar Baar Dekho' wherein she plays the role of Tarun's (Siddharth's brother) girlfriend. This is considered her breakout role. She also debuted in Marathi cinema with the National Award-winning film "Ventilator". She followed this up with Ganesh Acharya directed "Bhikari" where she again played the central character of Sharda Devi. She was also seen in the TV Series "Peshwa Bajirao" where she played the recurring character of Rani Yesubai.
