Ana Gasteyer is best known for her incomparable work on Saturday Night Live. During her six-year stint, she created some of the most famous SNL characters including middle school music teacher Bobbie Moughan-Culp, NPR radio host Margaret Jo, Lilith Fair poetess Cinder Calhoun, as well as spot-on impressions of Martha Stewart, Celine Dion and Hillary Rodham Clinton. Prior to joining SNL, Gasteyer honed her comedy skills at The Groundlings, the famed Los Angeles improv-sketch comedy group. She can currently be seen in Maria Bamford's Netflix series Lady Dynamite as foul-mouthed Hollywood agent 'Karen Grisham,' and in TBS's acclaimed series People Of Earth as 'Gina Morrison.' On stage, Gasteyer has starred in a range of theater productions since her triumphant Broadway debut in the revival of The Rocky Horror Show. In 2006, Gasteyer starred in Wicked on Broadway as 'Elphaba' and originated that role for the Chicago production, which earned her a Jefferson Award nomination. Her credits also include Tony-nominated Broadway productions of The Royal Family and The Threepenny Opera; Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, and Manhattan Theatre Club's Kimberly Akimbo. Gasteyer starred in Funny Girl at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and in Passion at The Chicago Shakespeare Theater, which earned her a Jefferson Award nomination. She has performed in musical acts Elegant Songs from a Handsome Woman and Let It Rip, and lent her voice to the Actor's Fund benefit recordings of Hair and Reefer Madness.
