Mike is a classically trained actor from Chicago, were he studied under some of Chicago's best. He studied at Act One Studios under Grant Stokes in the Uta Hagen Method, and at The Chicago Shakespeare Theatre under Larry Yando. He began acting as a preteen traveling with Reality Theatre, and began feature films at the age of 16 with The Rockville Slayer (2004), a thriller released by Universal. During this time, Mike was also a nationally ranked Sabre Fencer, and captain of his high school fencing team, where he was nicknamed "Weltz"... aptly named for the bruises left on his opponents following a match. After working in LA for several years, Mike traveled to Jerusalem, where he studied in rabbinical studies at a Yeshiva.
