Liana Mendoza, born in Los Angeles, CA was raised by a single mother in East Los Angeles which gave her that gritty edge that is so palatable. Woman of Influence and honored by SAG-AFTRA as a Diversity Performer, she graduated from Pace University with a Masters in Fine Arts. Native American, Mexican, Spaniard and Russian Jewish; She is internationally known as "Sexiest Spaniard" along with Enrique Iglesias, Antonio Banderas, and Penélope Cruz. Mendoza joined the cast of the FX, Emmy-Award winning show, American Horror Story (2011) in 2015 starring Lady Gaga. The show and cast were nominated for a Golden Globe (2016). Since then, she has joined several shows including Baskets (2016), Bones (2005), Scandal (2012) as well as Better Call Saul (2015) (nominated for a Golden Globe in 2017). She earned the esteemed title "Latina of Influence" along with Michelle Rodriguez. Moving onto popular shows like UNSOLVED starring Josh Duhamel and working opposite actor Jimmi Simpson with award winning directors like Kate Woods. Mendoza began as a dancer performing by age 3 in tap, modern jazz, ballet and hip hop and was invited into a professional dance company by age 8. Mendoza was invited to attend Hamilton High School for Performing Arts. Training in musical theatre and opera with Seth Riggs (Coach to the Stars), she also took an interest in Martial Arts, weapons and training with world renowned fellow stunt person Bob Yerkes. Liana has a "takes a village to raise a child" philosophy and credits her resilient mother Vickie, along with aunts Yvette and Juanita with being the biggest influences in her life. Believing in the philosophy that we all pass the elevator back down--in the words of Jack Lemmon--she involves herself in youth programs and charity organizations including Operation Smile, Sober College, Help as One, Every Monday Matters and Stand up in the Halls. Her heart belongs to Students Run LA (SRLA) where she was not only a mentor for at-risk youth but completed the Los Angeles Marathon along side them.
