Katie Messina grew up in Toronto, attending Humber College Theatre Arts Program before moving to Vancouver, BC. Her first major film role was 'YOU KILL ME' working alongside Sir Ben Kingsley. During her time on the west coast, she trained with Larry Moss and Gina Chiarelli, while working on projects including THE L WORD and INTELLIGENCE. In 2010, she returned to Toronto, where she has been working steadily in film and television. Recent and upcoming credits include: MISTRESSES, MURDOCH MYSTERIES, THE STRAIN and the Emmy award winning THE HANDMAID'S TALE.
