Zoltán Seress was born in Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary and raised up in Kecskemét. As a child, he wanted to be an aero engineer. This was also his father's request who has been serving at the air force for long. He went to a high school in Kecskemét. While there he was joined a youth acting group. His much success encouraged him to apply to the College of Dramatic Art in Budapest but was refused twice. After accomplishing military service (it was compulsory in the 80s Hungary) he went on to study acting at the Studio of National Theatre. After a year of studying he went to the CoDA again in 1983 and finally he was accepted. Graduated in 1987. He was a member of VÍgszínház (1987-1993), Art Theatre and Thalia Theatre (1993-1996) in Budapest. Had important roles at the Szigligeti Theatre of Szolnok, also several roles on TV, cinema and radio. Mostly well-known from Magyar Vándor (2004) and Just Sex and Nothing Else (2005). In 2004 Zoltán Seress debuted as director with Eisemann-Zágon's Peter Black at Ujvideki Theatre. Same year he joined the company of Bárka Theatre in Budapest.
